I just got word from Blue Cross that my health insurance is going up 32.4%. No mistype there. I will write it out. Thirty-Four Point 4%. They claim that they are looking at a short fall of 133 million. Part of the problem is that lots of folks who used to have health insurance through the auto companies have lost it and the insurance pool is smaller.
Even with this huge increase, I would rather have my own insurance plan than have Federal Government bean counters making decisions for me. Next Tuesday I have an Echo Cardiogram scheduled to check on one of my heart valves that is not working right. The Federal Bean counters may well crunch the numbers and decide that the Echo, and eventual heart valve replacement are not worth spending the money. Better to save that money as per the Barack Hussein Obama health care death panels, and spend it on a worthy 20 year old.
