No Tax Increase – Just a 2 percent income tax surcharge

“Rep. Pete Stark, a leading congressional author of health reform legislation, called Thursday for a 2 percent income tax surcharge to pay for the health insurance program he predicted Congress and President Obama would enact later this year.”

The Story

So, if you make under $250,000 you will not have to pay a tax increase to fund the government take over of health care. Instead it is called an, “income tax surcharge”. A surcharge is the government taking away your money so that they can spend it instead of you. They imagine that you are so stupid that you will not recognize this tax is a TAX because they have called it a surcharge. They hope that you will not remember in 2010 that no matter what they called it, the government has your money and you don’t. Because if you remember, you will vote the sonsabitches out of office.
