Yesterday, there were OVER 800 ‘Tea Party’ demonstrations throughout the country…. 800!!! There were literally THOUSANDS of people of all ages, gender’s, and political affiliations, protesting the current trends towards our Economic and Political situation…. so what does CNN do? IT DISSES THE PEOPLE as ‘not fit for family viewing’! HUH? There was no violence, simply PEACEFUL Americans exercising their FREE SPEECH rights against policical trends that affect THEIR LIVES that THEY ARE FED UP WITH!
Most media choose to ignore the events….
“I know why we are there,” Cavuto told listeners. “I’m not quite sure why they are not,” he said, speaking of other media outlets.
“Apparently these populist protests don’t count that much for them. Millions concerned they’re being taxed to death counts even less for them,” he said.
Cavuto, senior vice president of Fox Business News and host of “Your World With Neil Cavuto,” pointed out that Fox has given extensive coverage to demonstrations for a variety of causes, including protests against the Iraq war.
“We’re going to be right in the middle of these [tea party] protests because at FOX, we do not pick and choose these rallies and protests,” he said.
Newsbusters.org reports that NBC political analyst Chuck Todd dismissed the tea parties on Tuesday, saying they haven’t caught on. It also reports that ABC correspondent Dan Harris said Wednesday morning President Obama is “unaware” the tea party rallies are taking place.
CNN’s ‘objective coverage’… This ‘reporter’ takes exception to a participant calling Obama a ‘facist’ and comparing him to Hitler….
Now…. Michelle Malkin found this SAME ‘objective’ reporter covering an anti-Bush rally “…..n which she blithely refers to a huge Bush puppet with horns and a Hitler mustache as a “lookalike.” ”
Nothing like Hypocrisy in media, huh?
Then we have the low-life’s at MSNBC, who consider it ‘Newsworthy’ to refer to the “tea parties’ as ‘Tea Bagging’….. which is a term that has significant SEXUAL CONNOTATIONS, and should NOT be mentioned so mirthfully on television, ESPECIALLY by a news crew covering their FELLOW AMERICANS.
But, of course MSNBC is not hypocritical, are they?
Ann Coulter, in a recent article put it concisely:
On MSNBC, hosts Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow have been tittering over the similarity of the name “tea parties” to an obscure homosexual sexual practice known as “tea bagging.” Night after night, they sneer at Republicans for being so stupid as to call their rallies “tea bagging.”
Every host on Air America and every unbathed, basement-dwelling loser on the left wing blogosphere has spent the last week making jokes about tea bagging, a practice they show a surprising degree of familiarity with.
It really is a sad day with prominent television media resorts to such lows….
From The Jawa Report, a quote to put the ‘Tea Party’ rallies into perspective:
“They sent us here to usher in a new era of responsibility in Washington — to start living within our means again, and being straight with them about where their tax dollars are going, and empowering them with the information they need to hold all of us, their representatives, accountable.”
-President Barack Hussein Obama (D), 2-23-09
I think I’m feeling ill….
