“Specifically, the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Bill would allow any person with a valid concealed firearm carrying permit or license, issued by a state, to carry a concealed firearm in any state, as follows:”
This means that I could once again visit my friends who live near Chicago. Illinois has some very draconian gun laws. Chicago in particular has laws that can put you in jail as a felon just for having a bullet. We all know how well gun control works in Chicago.
“Chicago’s 2008 murder rate is up 18 percent compared to the first seven months of 2007, including a particularly bloody July that saw 62 people killed. From January to July this year, 291 people were murdered while the same time period in 2007 saw 246 murders. While the July tally seems high, it’s still below the 66 murders from July 2006, though 2008’s year-to-date tally is still higher than 2006’s 266 murders.”
No honest Citizen has a permit to carry a concealed weapon for self defense. But ALL of the CRIMINALS carry guns. Mayor Daley is unaware of the fact that Chicago criminals even know that it is against the law for them to be carrying guns. Since laws do not effect them, what with being criminals and all, they pay no attention to any law. The honest Citizens of Chicago suffer, because they obey the law, but are stripped of the means to defend themselves by Mayor Richard M. Daley
