(ANSAmed) – ALGIERS, MARCH 11 – The Organization of Petrolium Exporting Countries (OPEC) “will discuss the opportunity to reduce production during its meeting on Sunday in Vienna,” said Algerian Energy Minister Chakib Khelil during a forum organised by daily El Moudjahid. “The consensus that will be reached,” said Khelil, “will guarantee market stability and will be able to bring crude oil prices to 74 dollars per barrel.” During 2008 OPEC decided to cut production by 4.2 million barrels per day.
