If we are going to spend billions and billions to get the economy
going. Let get some of the money into the hands of the people that
deserve a break.
Suppose we take 100 Billion dollars and raise the pay of all
active U.S. Military personnel for the next two or three years. Who
deserves it more? Wall Street? Real Estate Developers? Banks? Or some
Buck Private who needs new tires for his car?
There is no need for a cumbersome money wasting buracreacy. The
military pay system is already in place.
It would be a boon to some States by getting Military families off
food stamps.
It would get right back into the economy. These folks have never
been over paid, and like all Americans there is lots of stuff that
they would like to, and need to buy.
Then when the money hits the pockets of the Military folks lets
sit back and wait for about three months to see what happens. Only a
fool rushes in to spend that kind of money without thinking about it
for a good long time.
And lets not waste a lot of time debating about who in the
military gets the money. Spread it out right from the Joint Chiefs of
Staff to the bottom Buck Private. They have all stood for us, it is
time that we stand for them.
