Subject: Ammunition Accountability Act

I got this in an email. It is the anti liberty people out to
disarm you. If they can’t grab your guns they are going after your
ammo. This micro stamping idea seems to be a good one. Until you
think about it. Criminals not only steal their guns, they also steal
their ammo. Criminals don’t care if they break laws, including this
one. That is WHY they are called CRIMINALS. It is absurdly easy to
remove the micostamp from the gun. A patch of 800 grit sandpaper and a couple of swipes over the micro stamp and it is GONE.

The 2009 Legislative session has begun, and the Ammunition
Accountability Act is being introduced across the country. Below is a
list of states where legislation has already been introduced:

Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois,
Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New
York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and
Washington.

This legislation is spearheaded by groups seeking to cash in on
the technology, who are actively involved in creating the hysteria
among legislators and the public. These groups stand to rack up vast
fortunes for their unproven, unnecessary and un-Constitutional
restrictions on the backs of lawful gun owners across the nation.

Remember how Obama said that he wasn’t going to take away your
guns?

In an obvious play of words, it seems that his minions and allies
in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo instead.

The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and
Indiana) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacturer,
with a database maintained of all ammunition sales. So, they will
know how much ammunition you buy and what caliber.

Under the legislation, nobody can sell any ammunition after June
30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded. Any privately held non-coded
ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011 (including hand-loaded
ammo). They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round, so every
box of ammunition you buy will go up in price proportionally.

Remember, if you can be deprived of your ammunition, they
essentially don’t need to take your guns.
