In an article/commentary in the Washington Times, Gal Luft and Frank Gaffney write about the myth that Ethanol takes corn from the worlds hungry. I encourage all to read the entire article, but here are some exerpts:
An immutable fact is now clear for all to see: Food prices track oil prices, regardless of how much corn is used for ethanol production.

The U.S. Agriculture Department has projected a 23 percent increase in farm-grown exports in 2008 over 2007, and ethanol production capacity increased by 60 percent to 11 billion gallons, saving the global oil market almost 1 million barrels of oil per day.
