Beginning December 1st for the last three years I have been
saying” Merry Christmas” to everybody I meet. Friends and strangers
alike. I have yet to run into anybody who gets upset by the greeting.
It puts a smile on everybody’s face.
I know that the politically correct greeting is, “Happy Holidays”.
It is an all inclusive multicultural greeting that leaves no one out.
It is also very, very bland. It is far too diluted by the waters of
political correctness to bring a smile to anybody.
Deep down and deny it if you will, but the True Meaning of
Christmas has nothing to do with religion. It is a purely economic
holiday. And it has been from the first. Even the Wise Men were smart
enough to show up with presents.
There may be some of you out there who is offended by, “MERRY
CHRISTMAS!!!”
I don’t care about your feelings. How politically correct is that?
