Home Grown or Al Qaeda?

It really makes no difference. The most frightening thing that I
see about the attacks is that the terrorists have adapted a military
mind set. They are not out to commit suicide even though there is a
high probability that they will be killed. More on the story here

They attack one target and then move on to the next and are
successful for a time because there is no police or military
organization that can offer an instant response. The only people who
can resist such attacks are armed civilians who carry their guns with
them every day.

Unfortunately the average Indian is barred from carrying a
concealed weapon by law. It is, of course, illegal for the terrorists
to carry guns, but like criminals every where, they pay no attention
to what the law says they can, or cannot do.

Colonial Roots of Gun-Control is a good read and says in part:

“India became independent in 1947, but it still took 12 years
before this act was finally repealed. In 1959 the British era Indian
Arms Act, 1878 (11 of 1878.) was finally consigned to history and a
new act, the Arms Act, 1959 was enacted. This was later supplemented
by the Arms Rules, 1962. Unfortunately this new legislation was
also formulated based on the Indian Government’s innate distrust its
own citizens. Though somewhat better than the British act, this
legislation gave vast arbitrary powers to the “Licensing
Authorities”, in effect ensuring that it is often difficult and
sometimes impossible for an ordinary law abiding Indian citizen to

The same kind of attacks can be expected in the United States. We
certainly have enough of our own Islamic terrorists to put together
Jihadist terror teams.

A quick look at the map (HERE)
shows the States that are the most viable targets. New York,
Illinois, and California do not allow ordinary citizens arms. The
very citizens who are on the spot and can stop a terrorist in his
bloody tracks. Imagine a Terror Team in New York’s Times Square with
automatic weapons (Illegal) and grenades (Illegal). The only word
that comes to mind is, “Slaughter.”

If you think that the Government will protect you, please remember
the lessons of New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina. The government can
barely move a letter a hundred miles in less than three days. Arm
yourselves, get trained up. Despite what the anti-gunners say,
ordinary people are smart enough to own and operate pistols,
